RCL's Storytime Room

That’s a wrap, folks! Thanks for helping us Build a Better World this summer in the Summer Reading Club. We hope you had as much fun as we did! Check out the blog for past events and photos.

In the meantime, a couple of events coming soon:

Friday, August 18 @ 1-3 PM: Kindness Rocks! Join us to paint rocks with positive messages or fun pictures to later hide and brighten someone else’s day. We’ll provide the materials; all we need is you! Jennifer Dotson of the Facebook group “Rockwall Rocks” will answer all of your rock-related questions. This free event is strictly for ages 7+.

Monday, August 21 @ 11:30 AM-3 PM: 2017 Eclipse Across America All of North America will experience a partial or total eclipse of the sun. Rockwall’s own NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador, Max Corneau, will bring solar telescopes and eclipse glasses to the Rockwall County Library for a safe and enriching astronomical experience. This is a come-and-go event you don’t want to miss! Check out NASA’s eclipse website for activities and resources at http://eclipse2017.nasa.gov.

PLEASE NOTE: Solar eclipse glasses will be available at 10 AM on Monday, August 21. Unfortunately, we didn’t make the deadline for the free glasses from Google so we purchased ours. Because of this, we want to make sure we have enough supplies for those attending the program that day. Thank you for understanding!
